We incorporate holistic services, working with mind, body, and spirit, through Acupuncture, Yoga, Meditation, and Reiki as the integral components of a healthy life.
Acupuncture, a traditional method of health care that has been practiced in China and other parts of Asia for 2,000 years, is an effective aid in treating substance use disorders since it is proven to reduce cravings for drugs, relieve symptoms of withdrawal, and enhance feelings of relaxation. In addition, numerous co-occurring psychological and medical disorders respond favorably to acupuncture including but not limited to addiction, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, headaches, and insomnia.
According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Reiki is a complementary health practice that may facilitate an individual’s own healing response. A spiritual practice introduced in 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist, Reiki involves the transfer of qi (universal energy/life force) through the practitioner’s palms to the client with the intention of promoting the healing of physical, mental, and emotional ailments. Reiki promotes harmonious balance to the mind, body, and spirit.
Yoga therapy is a specialized method of yoga instruction focusing on healing physical and mental health conditions. Through engagement in yoga practice, clients learn to recognize and regulate emotions, develop personal spiritual principals, and acquire balance of mind, body, and spirit.
